Good Afternoon, I am new to Apache 2.4.x and needed some help with the error received when starting after successful configure/make/make install of Apache 2.4.26. I have Apache 2.2.31 working for years now, trying to update to 2.4.x now. We are running this on AIX 5.3. Working with my Unix admin who is also asking "why is there no expat.h for apache 2.4.26"? The error is below: hqibm43:/u2/app $sudo /u2/app/http/bin/apachectl start Could not load program httpd: rtld: 0712-001 Symbol XML_ParserCreate was referenced from module /u2/app/httpd-2.4.26/lib/libaprutil-1.so(), but a runtime definition of the symbol was not found. rtld: 0712-001 Symbol XML_SetUserData was referenced from module /u2/app/httpd-2.4.26/lib/libaprutil-1.so(), but a runtime definition of the symbol was not found. rtld: 0712-001 Symbol XML_SetElementHandler was referenced from module /u2/app/httpd-2.4.26/lib/libaprutil-1.so(), but a runtime definition of the symbol was not found. rtld: 0712-001 Symbol XML_SetCharacterDataHandler was referenced from module /u2/app/httpd-2.4.26/lib/libaprutil-1.so(), but a runtime definition of the symbol was not found. rtld: 0712-001 Symbol XML_SetDefaultHandler was referenced from module /u2/app/httpd-2.4.26/lib/libaprutil-1.so(), but a runtime definition of the symbol was not found. rtld: 0712-001 Symbol XML_Parse was referenced from module /u2/app/httpd-2.4.26/lib/libaprutil-1.so(), but a runtime definition of the symbol was not found. rtld: 0712-001 Symbol XML_GetErrorCode was referenced from module /u2/app/httpd-2.4.26/lib/libaprutil-1.so(), but a runtime definition of the symbol was not found. rtld: 0712-001 Symbol XML_ErrorString was referenced from module /u2/app/httpd-2.4.26/lib/libaprutil-1.so(), but a runtime definition of the symbol was not found. rtld: 0712-001 Symbol XML_ParserFree was referenced from module /u2/app/httpd-2.4.26/lib/libaprutil-1.so(), but a runtime definition of the symbol was not found. rtld: 0712-002 fatal error: exiting.
