url forwarding

All,

I have a need to setup a redirect  for around 3000 pages which are in below format

http://myhost.com/index?page=content&topic=TVAR&popular=HOT-TOPIC  -->  http://myhost.com/index?page=content&topic=TVAR

and here TVAR can be  any string  (   we have now around 500  different key e.g ALW , CAW,NYN,FLN )

Is there a way to  do get this done on apache .
