Please help... I'm attempting to install Apache 2.2.31 on a Linux 64-bit o/s but after the install the target folder (--prefix=/apps/apache/pmos) does not exists.

CC=/usr/bin/gcc ./configure --prefix=/apps/apache/pmos --enable-proxy --enable-rewrite --enable-so --enable-speling --enable-vhost-alias

Also checked the default location but this too is empty.

The config.log shows what appears to have the target folder but again, the folder is not created after running the install.

Has anyone experienced this in the past and if so, would you be able to help me to understand what might be missing?

Here's a snippet from the config.log which shows the target folder:

APR_BINDIR='/apps/apache/pmos/bin'
APR_CONFIG='/apps/apache/pmos/bin/apr-1-config'
APR_INCLUDEDIR='/apps/httpd-2.2.31-pmos/httpd-2.2.31/srclib/apr/include'
APR_VERSION='1.5.2'
APU_BINDIR='/apps/apache/pmos/bin'
APU_CONFIG='/apps/apache/pmos/bin/apu-1-config'

Thank you.
