Hello everyone, I have such a VirtualHost configuration: <VirtualHost *:*> ServerName foo.bar DocumentRoot /var/www/foobar/ SetOutputFilter DEFLATE <Location /> Dav On </Location> SetInputFilter DEFLATE DavLockDB /tmp/DavLock2 </VirtualHost> With this config, I can PUT files on my server, in directory /var/www/foobar/. And the data in the HTTP PUT request can be gzipped if I add the header "Content-Encoding: gzip". My homemade Java client sends such HTTP PUT requests (i.e with compressed data and the header). But the files on the server always have their content shorter than expected. I tried to investigate: I monitored the TCP flow with tcpflow. Here is the dump file of a HTTP PUT request: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/6908818/127.000.000.001.51240-127.000.000.001.00090 Taking this dump file locally and applying this command line: tail -n +14 127.000.000.001.51240-127.000.000.001.00090 | zless does retrieve the original content : a counter going from 1 to 1659999. But the file in directory /var/www/foobar/ is shorter than that. The end of the file is as follows: 1659406 1659407 1659408 1659409 1659410 1659411 1659412 1659413 1659 I suspect a bug, but I would like your opinion. Your help is very welcome. Note: FYI, I use Apache2 version 2.4.7-1ubuntu4.1. --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: users-unsubscribe@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx For additional commands, e-mail: users-help@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
