hello, i have the following setup where i use nginx to proxy requests to apache with the images, css and js being loaded from nginx.

here are the details
http://serverfault.com/questions/514611/nginx-proxy-to-apache-err-too-many-redirects

there are couple of issues with this and i want to find out if the issue is with apache or the way i have setup nginx.

my apache setup is not forcing https as this has not been setup.

i have removed the image rewrites from the .htaccess file for prestashop as they are being duplicated by nginx, is this correct or shall i let apache handle it?

any advice much appreciated.
