After adapting to my folder structure it should look like
RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} ^(.*)\.(.*)\.(.*)$
RewriteRule ^/(.*) /%1/$1 [P]
Unfortunately neither your original suggestion nor my version seem to cause any redirection.
