RE: Letting users see directory contents of protected directory

Many thanks for this suggestion.
I've tried both the following in the .htaccess but I now get a Error 500 internal server error

IndexOptions ShowForbidden
AuthType Basic
AuthName "Access to /downloads"
AuthUserFile /kunden/homepages/18/d249834675/htpasswd
Require user Ikari

and
Options Indexes
IndexOptions ShowForbidden
AuthType Basic
AuthName "Access to /downloads"
AuthUserFile /kunden/homepages/18/d249834675/htpasswd
Require user Ikari
