Seamless boot/fastboot on AMD Raven

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

Dear AMD folks,

On a system with AMD Ryzen 3 2200G [1] (RX Vega 8, Raven, 0x1002:0x15dd), Linux 5.10 still makes a modeset between entering the LUKS passphrase and GDM graphical login manager. Is there a way to use the firmware resolution, which is efifb also uses? I think, AMD’s term for that is *seamless boot*, and Intel calls it *fastboot* (`i915.fastboot=1`).

Kind regards,

Paul
