I think these callbacks make sense. We already have to fetch a bunch of hub specific data which is why we have the structure in the first place. It seems logical to fetch the bits as well via that interface even if they happen to be the same in this particular set of IPs. That means the flush code in all the IPs would then be a mix of fetches from the hub structure and direct calls to gmc9 code which seems messier then just fetches from the hub structure.
