The patch ASoC: dapm: allow muxes to force a disconnect has been applied to the asoc tree at https://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/broonie/sound.git for-5.3 All being well this means that it will be integrated into the linux-next tree (usually sometime in the next 24 hours) and sent to Linus during the next merge window (or sooner if it is a bug fix), however if problems are discovered then the patch may be dropped or reverted. It makes the code a bit more robust and, more importantly, let the calling mux force a disconnect of the output path if necessary. This is useful if the dapm elements following the mux must be off while updating the mux, to avoid glitches or force a (re)configuration.
