It's usually the same process:
1. find the codec driver sources, port them to the last kernel version
2. add ACPI support to the codec driver based on the contents of the
DSDT table (same HID needed to probe)
3. add a machine driver based on existing examples and reference it from
sst_acpi
4. add an asound.state or UCM file that provides the relevant register
values
The kernel sources should be available from the manufacturer if they
understand what GPL means.
