Bringing the outcome of a recent off-list push to get asihpi driver (for
AudioScience soundcards) into kernel sources back on list:

Thank you very much for your help and patience, and work in merging many
patches.

It has been quite a long road. Looking back at my local history, the
first commit of asihpi.c creating our local patches to alsa was on
2003-05-28, and Takashi's first commit to alsa-driver git on 2005-08-26.
