Could you check whether the very latest alsa-driver snapshot still
doesn't work without your change?
    ftp://ftp.kernel.org/pub/linux/kernel/people/tiwai/snapshot/alsa-driver-snapshot.tar.gz

If it doesn't work, could you give alsa-info.sh output (run
--no-upload option)?

If your fix is mandatory, I'm going to apply it happily.  But, then
please give your sign-off, too.
