That asound.conf works very well on an Intel dg45 mainboard
as well as it has the HDMI channel order all messed up.
Question though, how would one go about routing the default
playback device to say surround51 since if the stream has
fewer channels than expected, it should still do the right
thing.

Also, is there any way to have this asound.conf use the
plug layer instead of using the hdmi device directly. If I
for example give it a 22khz wav, it won't play as it's an
unsupported sample rate and the plugin layer takes care of
that.
