The alsa-driver snapshot tarball can be found at
  ftp://ftp.kernel.org/pub/linux/kernel/people/tiwai/snapshot/alsa-driver-snapshot.tar.gz

There seems some script for Ubuntu to adapt that tree automatically,
but I don't remember exactly as I'm no Ubuntu user :)
