Did you try the latest alsa-driver snapshot?  It already contains apatch to support Macbook 5,1 (Aluminium).  The tarball is found at:   ftp://ftp.kernel.org/pub/linux/kernel/people/tiwai/snapshot/alsa-driver-snapshot.tar.gz
