Yeah I added these 2 lines to the end of /etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base.conf alias snd-card-0 snd-hda-intel options snd-hda-intel model=acer-aspire-4930g This is enough to pass the model option to the driver right? I will post the alsa-info.sh output after I get back home from work.
