Can't tell you much unless I know what is your machine (product name),
but in general, you can try various model option values listed in
ALSA-Configuration.txt.  model=lenovo, model=dallas and model=hp have
the jack-detection, at least.

The jack-detection for the BIOS auto-configuration mode will come
later, possibly after 1.0.15 release.
