This is interesting; I thought there were two speakers on these laptops, in which case it's a little surprising that they would drive them with the mono output from the ALC260. Stranger things have happened though. Can you confirm for sure that it definitely is the "mono" control which lets you get sound out of the speaker in your case? In fact, the best thing would be to repeat your tests and then let me know exactly which alsamixer controls needed to be used (and at which settings) in order to get sound out of the speaker. > Only GPIO pin 0 have to be on to get sound.
