I'm running a cleanup now. It looks as though the originator wishes to include it, but doesn't know who to submit it to or how to submit it properly. I'll clean up the code a bit, using other patch_* codec drivers as a guide and submit a proper patch to the list and to the originator to get his seal of approval.
