Actually it's not a problem of sigmatel codec.  It's a problem of
BIOS. 

I've heard that Dell provides a BIOS update that seems fixing the
problem.  But, for convenience, it might be better to privide a static
pin configuration.

The problem is that model=ref is designed for the Intel reference
board and there is no guarantee that the all mappings are correct for
Dell machine(s).  So, I won't pick it up without a certain testing
that no regression occurs by that.

The next step is:
 - try all functionalities with model=ref and check regressions
 - if no regression, go to pick up model=ref for the certain PCI SSIDs
 - if any regression, tune up pin configuration manually, by
   trial-and-error
