I know it's too late for your action, but in general, it's easier for
_us_ to receive a patch for ALSA HG tree.
OTOH, if it's easier for your to generate a linux kernel git patch, do
it.  We have alsa-current git tree that is _almost_ sync (but depends
on time) to the latest ALSA HG state.
