Summary: No S/PDIF controls on STAC 9200
Description:
I know this laptop (Dell XPS M1710) has S/PDIF out, but there is no ALSA
control for it in alsamixer.

Wow, it's interesting that the default pin configuration is rewritten so
dynamically by BIOS.

Does SPDIF work on battery once after the driver recognizes? If yes, we
can add a static pin configuration table to enable SPDIF regardless of
power state...

*Sigh*

It seems S/PDIF *still* does not work, even though the pin config is
there, alsamixer has the IEC... control enabled, and i run mplayer -ac
hwac3 dvd://1

Also tried with totem, but no luck...

Also, it seems the BIOS magic only happens after a suspend/resume cycle -
if I boot without AC, it still shows no S/PDIF.

But in any case, still no sound. I *have* got sound in Windows (still the
AC issue, though), so there is another issue somewhere.
