So, it's correct that the driver doesn't activate SPDIF controls. Do you know someway I can check how windows does it? Now that I come to think about it - is the pin confing only detected at boot? Because I've had trobles in Windows with the S/PDIF output only working when on battery. I'll try booting on battery to see if the pin configs are different...
