A NOTE has been added to this issue. ====================================================================== <https://bugtrack.alsa-project.org/alsa-bug/view.php?id=2239> ====================================================================== Reported By: konczalski Assigned To: ====================================================================== Project: ALSA - lib Issue ID: 2239 Category: 1_pcm - digital audio Reproducibility: always Severity: minor Priority: normal Status: new ====================================================================== Date Submitted: 06-28-2006 11:02 CEST Last Modified: 07-03-2006 21:33 CEST ====================================================================== Summary: No sound on SPDIF, Sampling rate not (re)set? if compiled with -D_FILE_OFFSET_BITS=64 Description: I use a Teratec Aureon 7.1 Space with a Envy24HT Chip and digital optical output. I get no sound if alsa-lib will by compiled with -D_FILE_OFFSET_BITS=64 (this is defualt in Geexbox 1.0, TARGET_CFLAGS="-Os -Wall -pipe -D_FILE_OFFSET_BITS=64 -D_LARGEFILE_SOURCE"). It´s sems as the sampling rate don´t by set at the second time. The first (background video) from GeexBox has a samplin of 32K, if i play a video (48K) or music 44.1K the sampling rate on my ampiler keep on 32K? My Mplayer parameter: -ao alsa:device=plughw=0.1 ====================================================================== ---------------------------------------------------------------------- tiwai - 06-29-06 18:00 ---------------------------------------------------------------------- I don't believe FILE_OFFSET_BITS influence on the driver or alsa-lib behavior. It's not guaranteed to work if you use plughw. It's nearly a raw access. For accessing SPDIF, use "spdif" instead (for ice1724, "plug:spdif"). ---------------------------------------------------------------------- konczalski - 07-03-06 21:33 ---------------------------------------------------------------------- alsa:device=plug=spdif works fine too, but only if i complie with -D_FILE_OFFSET_BITS=32 Issue History Date Modified Username Field Change ====================================================================== 06-28-06 11:02 konczalski New Issue 06-29-06 18:00 tiwai Note Added: 0010680 07-03-06 21:33 konczalski Note Added: 0010807 ====================================================================== Using Tomcat but need to do more?
