I seem to have lost it in 2.6.13. Sound was available in 2.6.12. 2.6.14.2 didn't give sound either. The problem is in 1.0.9b and 1.0.10. The modules are loaded as supposed without error messages and alsamixer is set to volume. ====================================================================== ---------------------------------------------------------------------- picobyte - 06-03-06 16:02 ---------------------------------------------------------------------- I am afraid to have to report that it is still not working, running Alsa 1.0.11 and kernel 2.6.16.19. Also I bought another sound device: A creative audigy platinum ex, which installs allright (the audigy device is shown when running alsaconf) but won't work. Can it be that the bug in via 8235 affects this device as well, or is the not-working via 8235 chosen as a sound system rather than the Audigy? The Audigy device seems to be the second choice of sound device: I can only access its mixer settings by doing a "alsamixer -c 2". Is there a way to reverse this order? Any other suggestions?
