Summary: Ego Sys NEON
Description:
hi, i have a ESI NeON (
http://www.esi-pro.com/viewProduct.php?pid=42&page=1 ) i've tryed to make
it work with alsa with no success, but strangely on the oss the 24-bit
audio interface works. I just send this bug report to know if there's a
way to make it work or if it's planned to put support on this hardware. if
you need to test it feel free to contactme (nictuku@xxxxxxxxx)
thanx

What does "garbage" mean? Is there some noise, or is the original data
completely lost?
Does it occur at 44.1 kHz, at 48 kHz, or both?
Does it work again if you restart the output?

The device does not define a mixer control for input switching. I guess
this would be done with the HID interface.

I returned the device, so I can not tell you more than this :

The sound gets noisy after a few minutes of playback, the signal is still
here but very distrorded and unacceptable...
This also occurs on winxp, I updated the bios and plug an external power
supply , it is still the same... but I briefly tested on some other
computer and it seems to works ok...
So I guess my USB 1.1 controler is causing troubles, hardware specs (
http://rzr.online.fr/q/AmiloA )

About the HiZ mic selector, I don't know so much on HID ...

Would a dump of a USB snoop help ? How can I help more ?
