>From Burlington, Vermont's airport website: http://www.burlingtonintlairport.com/airlines/airlines.html

"United Airline Customers: Outbound passengers to Newark (EWR) or Cleveland (CLE) or connecting through these cities, please check in at the left most United ticket counter. Outbound passengers to Chicago (ORD) or Washington Dulles (IAD) or connecting through these cities, please check in at the right most United ticket counter. (The original United counter) Arriving passengers with 'lost' luggage from Newark or Cleveland, please proceed to the left most United ticket counter to file a claim. 'Lost' luggage from Chicago or Washington Dulles, please proceed to the right most United ticket counter to file a claim. (The original United counter) The Airport is working closely with 'United' on a solution to the 'separate ticket counter' issue. We apologize for the inconvenience and hope to have a solution shortly."

(I get the difference and "Why" you have to do this, I just find it hilarious.)
