New York helicopter services No more Liberty trips for US Helicopters Manhattan has lost its scheduled helicopter services to the two New York in= ternational airports. We quote from the US Helicopter website "Notice of T= emporary Service Interruption - We are temporarily halting all service as w= e regroup to add aircraft to our fleet and introduce new routes. This "sta= ndown" of service applies to our scheduled flights as well as our charter s= ervice. We plan to return to the skies of New York - a bigger and better a= irline - by late November. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cau= se and we look forward to serving you again very soon with our 8 Minute Air= port Shuttle". The New York helicopter service has had a chequered history= including the legendary Pan Am operation from near Grand Central Station. = US Helicopter has been in operation since 2006.
