No passengers or crew were injured in the incident at 2:23 p.m., said Jim Olson, a spokesman for the airline. The jet carried 138 passengers and five crew members at the completion of Flight 1241 from Philadelphia to Tampa, Olson said. The Boeing 737 remained at the end of north-south runway 18Right-36Left (the west side runway) into the evening as Federal Aviation Administration officials inspected it, said Brenda S. Geoghagan, director of public information and community relations at the airport. There were no delays in air traffic. Outgoing and incoming flights were shifted to Runway 18Right/36Left, which put heavy air traffic over residential neighborhoods in parts of north and south Tampa. Passengers were taken to the terminal on buses and released at 4:15 p.m. to collect baggage, Geoghagan said. Officials planned to tow the aircraft off the runway Saturday night. =93There were no reports of any injuries for passengers and crew, that=92s the thing we care about the most,=94 said Olson.
