Alaska said its new flights will begin Sept. 2. The flights will leave Austin at 3 p.m. and arrive in San Jose, Calif., at 4:40 p.m. The return flights will leave at 8:55 a.m. and arrive in Austin at 2:15p.m. Alaska also is starting a San Jose-Portland, Ore., nonstop. Tickets will be sold starting Thursday at alaskaair.com.
