I feel Boyd's comments about Pro Air neglected one important piece of infor=
mation: As much as anything, Pro Air failed because the neighborhood around=
Detroit City Airport has been a bombed out wasteland ever since Chrysler c=
losed their nearby Lynch Road Assembly Plant (home of the Plymouth Fury!) i=
n the early 1980s. Although DET is centrally located, I think travellers we=
re reluctant to fly Pro Air because they were worried about having their ca=
rs stolen, or being assaulted while they were walking through the airport p=
arking lots.=20
