The privately owned aircraft never got off the runway, crashing at the end = near S.C. 302 around 11:55 p.m., airport spokesperson Lynne Douglas. The ai= rport is currently closed to all arrivals and departures. Barker and DJ-AM, whose real name is Adam Goldstein, were taken to the Jose= ph M. Still Burn Center in Augusta, hospital spokeswoman Beth Frits said. B= oth were departing after performing at the T-Mobile Boulevard event in Five= Points earlier in the day. Federal Aviation Administration spokeswoman Kathleen Bergen siad air traffi= c controllers reporting seeing sparks as the jet was on its takeoff run. Sh= e said the plane went off the runway and crashed on a nearby road. Federal officials said the four killed included two crew members and two ad= ditional passengers. The Lear 60 was heading to Van Nuys, Calif., Bergen sa= id. A National Transportation Safety Board investigator is enroute to the crash= scene, Douglas said. The airport is expected to reopen later today, Douglas said. The last crash there was in January 2007, when a small private airplane wen= t down nearby with two fatalities.
