GIAA confirmed the news this afternoon. In the release, the airport states they greatly appreciate the work and dedication of Torres during his time as the Executive General Manager, and he will be missed. They also credit Torres for having played a part in securing millions of dollars in federal grants. There has been no indication as to why Torres has resigned, but the matter is expected to be discussed in a board meeting tomorrow afternoon at 3pm. Torres could not be reached for comment. Meanwhile, there has been speculation as to who will take over as the interim GM for the airport, however there has been no confirmation.
