Plane on fire at Khartoum airport  
 
The plane left the runway and burst into flames after landing 
A plane has caught fire after crashing on landing at the main airport in Sudan's capital Khartoum. 

About 200 passengers were thought to be on board but it is not immediately clear if there are any casualties. Rescue services rushed to the scene. 

The plane appeared to leave the runway after it landed and burst into flames, reporters at the scene said. There were thunderstorms at the time. 

The plane was flying in from Amman, the capital of Jordan.
