Continental traffic up 4.3%, capacity rises 4.6% in March 5:05:46 PM ET 4/1/2008 SAN FRANCISCO (MarketWatch) -- Continental Airlines Inc. (CAL) said late Tuesday March traffic rose 4.3% to 8.29 billion revenue passenger miles from 7.95 billion a year earlier. A revenue passenger mile equals one passenger flown one mile. Capacity also increased 4.6% to 10.07 billion available seat miles from 9.63 billion a year ago, the Houston-based airline said. Load factor, or percentage of seats filled, fell to 82.3% from 82.6% in March 2007.
