I live between the two also and have a Falls Church address which leads to my office trying to make DCA my home airport but from where I am (the east edge of Tysons Corner in Dunn Loring) it is easier to get to IAD then it is DCA - pop right on the access road and 15 minutes I'm at IAD. Going to DCA requires avoiding certain times, knowing the back streets. Even through DCA is a couple miles closer I can be in the terminal at IAD in 30 from home, I need to leave 45 if it's morning or evening rush hour.
