Continental Air takes delivery of first Boeing 737-900ER 3:32:12 PM ET 1/14/2008 SAN FRANCISCO (MarketWatch) -- Boeing Co. (BA) and Continental Airlines Inc. (CAL) said Monday Continental took delivery of the airline's first 737-900 extended range jet. Continental said orders of the plane are meant to increase the airline's capacity and to improve fuel efficiency. The airline said it has 26 more of the aircraft on order from Boeing.
