(AP) -- Airport officials want to offer airlines incentives to start new service at the L.A./Ontario International Airport in an effort to spur growth. The plan is still in the early stage, but executives say it could be in place by January. Incentives would include waiving landing fees for six months for new domestic flights and a year for international flights. Los Angeles World Airports air service marketing director Mark Thorpe sa= ys other airports have been offering similar perks for some time now. L.A./Ontario International Airport is located in the Inland Empire.
