sounds more like TOM in Brazilian - its an acronym.

I just talked with a friend who passes that intersection twice a day
- terrible rain, now roads closed due to scene.
The best coverage is at www.uol.com.br
Its all in Portuguese - but the photos from their staff and emailed
to them are sadly easily understood by all.

They have an animated graphic here which provides some concept...

blog photos - including some of the freight building before - just
after and totally engulfed in flames are at:

The latest story says 25 bodies have been recovered from the ground
(not clear if on the roadway or in the buildings) and 6 from the
aircraft. The fire department is estimating 200 dead. The electricity
has been lost (or cut off) in the region. The airport has been closed
since 6:45 PM - 5:45 EDT. They say yesterday the airport was briefly
closed when another airplane skidded.
