Both landed safely as emergency crews waited on alert. A small aircraft that took off from the Oakland County airport with three passengers reported a few pressure problems but landed without incident on the runway in Flint around 3 p.m., airport spokeswoman Pat Corfman said. In the same hour, a student pilot flying back to Western Michigan University after a practice flight to Flint realized he had not shut the door properly. He circled for a while before landing again in Flint to shut the door. "Firefighters said as soon as they left for the first issue, they were called to turn back around for another one," Corfman said. "It was two full moons this month," she said of the rarity of the incidents. - Beata Mostafavi *** ©2007 Flint Journal © 2007 Michigan Live.
