Kenya Airways said Saturday it has lost contact with a 737-800 aircraft that took off from Cameroon. "The last message from the aircraft was received by the control tower in Douala immediately after take off," Kenya Airways said on its Web site. The flight departed Douala at 12:05 a.m. and was to arrive in Nairobi at 6:15 a.m. The airline said it opened a crisis management center near the airport and had no further details. It did not say how many passengers were on board. The announcement was signed by Michael Okwiri, of Kenya Airways corporate communications. Calls to Kenya Airways were not immediately returned. George Muhoho, managing director of the Kenya Airports Authority, said he had no details other than what was on the airline's statement. ___ On the Net: http://www.kenya-airways.com <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> If you wish to unsubscribe from the AIRLINE List, please send an E-mail to: "listserv@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx".
