Eleven departures and 13 arrivals at San Francisco International Airport have already been canceled for this afternoon, said duty manager Mike Towle. One flight scheduled to arrive at Oakland International Airport from Denver was also shelved, though two later arrivals are expected to move forward. San Jose International Airport's nine flights to and from the Colorado city are still scheduled to take place, said spokeswoman Adrianna Rivas. United Airlines, which flies to Denver out of all three airports, also posted a travel advisory on its Web site telling passengers flying into, out of or through Colorado that they can change their travel plans today without fees. "They are planning this time -- the last one caught them flatfooted," sa= id Towle, adding that travelers should call their airlines directly for updates. "It's more or less and industry thing -- they don't tell you until the last possible minute (if a flight has been canceled)."
