Jetliner Loses Pressure Mid-Flight

   (08-18) 09:19 PDT SEATTLE, (AP) --

An Alaska Airlines jetliner lost cabin pressure as it flew from Canada
toward California, forcing it to make an unplanned landing at
Seattle-Tacoma International Airport.

About 14 people, including at least three crew members, complained of pa=
in
related to the decompression and were treated by airport medics, airport
spokesman Bob Parker said.

"So far, all of those injuries have been extremely minor," Parker told
KOMO Radio.

He said Flight 690 landed safely around 8:20 a.m. It wasn't clear why the
cabin lost pressure. No additional information was immediately released.

A call to Alaska Airlines was not immediately returned. ----------------=
