The landing was made in snow with a 25 knot tailwind.  Using the same 
runway the other direction might have solved the problem.  There must be 
a lot of airports within reserve distance in addition to ORD.  There was 
negligence enough to pass around to everyone involved, probably 
excepting Boeing..
