Dow Jones Newswires Aviation Partners Boeing said late Wednesday AMR Corp.'s (AMR) American Airlines (AMR) has decided to retrofit its entire fleet of 737-800s with its blended winglets. Financial terms weren't disclosed. Aviation Partners Boeing is a joint venture between Aviation Partners Inc. and Boeing Co. (BA) (BA). The installations will be done by American Airlines (AMR) employees at the company's facility in Tulsa, Okla., between May 2006 and September 2007. Aviation Partners Boeing said blended winglets reduce fuel burn, increase payload and range capability, improve take-off performance and reduce hourly engine maintenance costs. -Gabriel Madway; 415-439-6456; AskNewswires@xxxxxxxxxxxx
