AIRLINE:

If I were in the NW pilots and flight crew shoes, I'd
opt for a lower wage, just to keep my job.

I don't understand the mind-set of flight deck crews
these days!  Don't they know that this airline
industry is on the fringes of total collapse?  Take
what you can get, until you can get better!
Of course, if the workers take a pay cut, the big guys
up top should do better.  Fair is fair.
