Sitting here in the Red Carpet Lounge at DFW and noted an A320 approaching the gate. The right engine has been shutdown several minutes before arriving at the gate. As I type, the luggage crew are fishing the bags out of the hold. Meanwhile, the left engine is still turning. About 3 minutes later, the jetbridge is put into place. Is this United's approach for accelerating the stop-time? Doesn't Southwest do this as well? Matthew
