I am sure it was created in a very, well, creative way to accomodate the 
airport. It's north of Tacoma, WA and south of Seatle, WA.

If it was up to me, I'd call the airport Seattle International and would 
like to have nothing to do with Tacoma...

I'll take that bet.  Even though I don't leave in the Seattle area, I know
most people call it Sea Tac.  In fact, a lot of people in the US know it is
nicknamed Sea Tac
