AIRLINE: Dennis, You're right. The entire staff will be yelled at because the could have been a fatal error. When I worked for AWA, they told us 'nothing other than hoses and pull bag should come in contact with the plane.' This includes belt loaders. A small scratch could cost thousands and something more serious can cause a mechanical and delay a flight or in this rare case, a terrible incident that could have led to disaster. Airline-watchers however, will use this incident to cite that third-party workers aren't as careful as the airlines' workers themselves. -- Mike Burris Cambridge, Mass --- Dennis W Zeuch <DZTOPS@xxxxxxx> wrote: > In a message dated 12/28/2005 11:31:07 AM US > Mountain Standard Time, > psa188@xxxxxxxx writes: > > > A ramp worker acknowledged that he failed to > report immediately striking > > the plane at the gate Monday with a baggage cart > or baggage-belt machine, > > > > I bet he's gonna get yelled at.I worry more of this > kinda thing is gonna > start happening with all the min wage workers the > airlines now have, When airline > jobs paid a living wage, the workers wanted to keep > them and seemed a bit more > careful and concerned with the work > __________________________________ Yahoo! for Good - Make a difference this year. http://brand.yahoo.com/cybergivingweek2005/
